Product Introduction
The waterproof piercing connector (IPC) is widely used for Low Voltage Aerial Bundled Conductor (LV ABC) lines up to 1KV. They are an easy fit in copper-to-copper, copper-to-aluminum and aluminum-to-aluminum applications.
The piercing connectors are fully insulated and safe to install without special tools. Ease of installation has been combined with excellent mechanical, electrical and environmental characteristics to provide a connector capable of terminating aluminium or copper stranded conductors.
Shear-head bolt ensures precise tightening control of the insulation piercing connectors for ABC. A single torque control nut draws the two parts of the connector together and shears off when the teeth have pierced the insulation and made contact with the conductor strands.
Arc surface design , apply to connection with the same (different) diameter, wide connection scope (0.75mm2-400mm2/td); Small electric connecting resistance, connecting resistance less than 2.5 times of the resistance of branch conductor with the same length . in accordance with the standard DL/T765.1-2001;
The waterproof piercing connectors are suitable to connect main and one, two tap conductor s 1 of section. Type without letter B serves to connect isolated conductors, with letter B bare conductors
