Product Introduction

Low Voltage Waterproof Insulation Piercing Connectors are used on all AB cable systems (messenger wire as well as self supporting system) to take a tap connection. This tap can be used to continue the line, distribute the line, used in street lighting or in service connections to households. It is mainly composed of waterproof Insulation shell, Piercing the blade, rubber gasket, bolt torque.

Those connector consists from two glass-fiber reinforced plastic parts, which are fitted with two brass tinned teeth’s, which are coated with UV-curing silica grease and the teeth are fitted with rubber insulation. These bodies are made of plastic with fiberglass allowing high resistance to its environment but also offering superior mechanical properties. This set is associated with the bolt, nut and pinch fixation segment. A single torque control nut draws the two parts of the connector together and shears off when the teeth have pierced the insulation and made contact with the conductor strands.

Equipped with single shear head screw. Provide a fully sealed, waterproof connection of aluminum and copper main and tap conductors up to 1KV. Easy to install – captive hardware allows for single wrench installation, no special tools required.
